    This is on that site at present seller does not know what it is from as there are no markings identifying the sight. TIA

    I saw that and thought was based on a modified MLE leaf. (but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong )

    I don't think you are.

    The only known sight type I have heard of that looks that crude is the Humphrey's made in Vancouver before WWI: the same hand-stamped markings.

    Could even be a one-off, with a screw from something else re-used?

    It looks like a MacAlley, somewhere on the myrid jumble of files I have, there is a pic. of one...........could be mistaken though, only going on memory.

    Well know it's sold(no, I didn't get it, tried but the computer chucked a fit and missed it) I will tell you that it was very rare.
    It is John Mues first patented sight No.13311/08, rarer than his original 1910 model, as a matter of fact there are more of his pre patent sights around than this one.
    Good luck to the happy purchaser, I hope he knows what he has.
