I'm putting a rifle together out of pieces/parts. I just received an 03A3 scant stock from Sarco. On the right side of the buttstock there is a stamping or possibly a machine carving in two lines "ZZ 48." Letters are exactly 1/2" high and extremely precise. This was not from Private Zack Zwisler carving his initials into the stock in 1948.

Does anyone have a clue as to what it means?
