Another No. 4 MK. I* (T) has now been reunited with its factory original scope. Milsurps member "Valleysniper" in Wales, UK, who owns Long Branch No. 4. MK. I* (T) SN 90L8323 has now purchased R.E.L. C No. 32 MK. 3 SN 249-C from me. I had purchased the scope in 2014 from a friend in Scotland years ago, so it has travelled from Canadato Scotland, back to Canada and now to Wales. As well it would have travelled in service with the British
Army. On Milsurps, under rifle 90L8323 it says "Peter Laidler
/Roger Payne
..............Observed in British service. Surplussed w/o scope in 1997". It matches the scope number stamped on the wrist of his rifle and it is the correct model scope. R.E.L. duplicated many scope serial numbers so it is important to ensure where a rifle should have an early or late model scope. I tracked down this rifle thanks to a Milsurps posting, and as the owner was not willing to part with the rifle, I ended up letting the scope go to him after I had bought a matching 90L8198 with matching scope 22-C set for myself.
