Vince Morrow carried an M1in the pilot, switched to that Thompson for the rest of the series. Marty Black wrote a great piece for the Fall 2011 GCA
Journal about the series and his hunt for relics on the movie lots used to film it. GREAT article!

Real men measure once and cut.
Vic is sporting a front seam, fixed bale helmet too.
I believe that would put the helmet at October 1943 or earlier.

The M1was too heavy and so was the Thompson for Vic...he had a resin gun he carried for all the cowboy shots. He would only carry the real one for shooting scenes...
