    M1Garand web sling ID

Can anybody tell me anything about this sling? The slider is brass and it has no markings.
    Thanks in advance.

An early flat slider...are you sure it's brass? Try a magnet to see for sure. Could it be that someone used a phosphor-bronze rifle brush to clean some crud off and it left it brassy looking? It would be the first brass slider I've seen... The Danishicon produced some flat slider slings too well after the fact but the material was vastly different to these and the finish on the metal was different...
    Regards, Jim

The slider is nonmagnetic. It is brass, I can see it where the finish is worn. The stitched area at the clip is longer than normal. I don't know about the weave in the sling material.

There'll be more guys along soon here, I wonder if it's one of the Danishicon copies? They were all in good finish so I never the material of the slider but they were the early type slider. I thought they had normal short square stitch pattern. We'll soon see...
