Boy!.. here in New Jersey they would lock that gun happy nut up for discharging a firearm within town limits. After all, how did he know they were not making a movie? You can't go around shooting up union film crews and actors. Lawyers by the dozen will be trying to get to represent the sole survivor for civil action against the 'sniper'...... Interfering with their right to pursue happiness, and assault with a deadly weapon. ( Boy! I wish that were a joke!)

Same here charges would read ~ discharging a weapon in a built up area, endangering the publics safety & manslaughter simple as that. Whether the magistrate would be lenient is another matter but he would definitely lose his guns and never hold a firearms license again.

Here in the U.K. even when the Police discharge a firearm at a criminal they have to report themselves to the Independent Police Complaints Commission to investigate.

Just so everyone is aware, that website is a "satire" or "fake news" website. So, yea.

Well at least we got a consensus of what the state laws in the respective areas are and what would happen to the chap who pulled the trigger!
