My middle-aged eyesight means it's no longer much fun to use iron sights, so the inevitable shift to optics has to begin and I'm thinking about putting a scope on my 1944 Husqvarna M96. I've tried and rejected the LER 'scout mount' route in favour of the Accumounts M41B copy. I'm not interested in making a expensive M41 clone with an original Ajack scope (far too expensive and far too hard to source), but I would like the result to be 'in the spirit' of the rifle itself. What 1950s/60s scopes would work well? I like Pecar scopes, but I think a Pecar would look a bit odd on a side mount. What else has similar optics and would be in keeping with a 40s rifle?Information
