    .303 British Any Ideas?

I was wondering if you guys might help me identify or confirm the identity of some of the .303 Britishicon ammo I acquired over the years here.

The first two photos are the first cartridge and headstamp. It's marked "SR 43 BVIIZ". I believe this to be a 1943 production incendiary mark 7 round loaded with smokeless powder.

The 3rd and 4th photos are of a cartridge which I do not know the identity of. It may be an incendiary due to the bullet color but I am not confident. Marked "F N 52".

The 5th and 6th photos are of another unidentified cartridge. Marked "K5 G6 45". It may be AP due to the bullet color, but strangely enough the bullet rattles when shaken. I don't know what that means.

The last two photos are of some kind of blank cartridge. Marked "BPD 954". I was told this was a Grenade Launching cartridge.

Any info you could help provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Left to right:

SR is the Royal Ordnance Factory, Spennymoor, Durham; one of the plants cranked up for urgent WW2 production. BVllZ indicates an incendiary loaded with a Nitrocellulose powder rather than Cordite "sticks".

FN 52, Blue tip and crimp seal: Incendiary of some sort.

    K5 is a late-war (1945), Kynoch head-stamp. G6 is, I think, Air-Service day tracer (bright!).

The "blank" is Italianicon. BPD stands for "Bombrini Parodi Delfino" in Rome, Italy. No idea about the numbers.

Another here that shows some of the color codes you want and what's inside... Ammunition Cross Sections

    Thanks Jim,

What I'm seeing is confirming my suspicions. However, I now believe the third round may be a reload of some sort, anyway the bullet isn't original. I think it may be some kind of high explosive projectile with and internal firing pin.

Perhaps, but I'm not so sure.
