    Long Branch No.4 Stock Markings.

Hi all I have a No.4 Mk1* for sale but before so i'm in need of some help.
My No.4 is a Long Branch 1942 Dated. The help I seek is information about the stock marking on it. It appears to be a sequence of letters and numbers located on the LH side of the stock. Photo provided. Admin feel free to relocate or delete post if inappropriate.

    Regards,
    Lucas.

Is that WLH/10/51? The 10/51 would be the date in question I should think. Here's a thread that have a suggested answer from Peter Laidlericon on it...

    Hi Jim,

Unfortunately, the thread doesn't answer the question. But yes from his photos the markings on my rifle are definitely
    WLH/10/51.

Ok then, let's try it this way. The fourth post said..."Those marks originate from 18 Command Workshop at Bovington in Dorset. September 1956."...In your case apply the year marking to your rifle...Oct 1951.

I thought letting you read it for yourself would be better than just spitting it out.
    Regards, Jim
