I wonder what happened to the rifle?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

SN duly recorded. Thanks, Loy. Did you see the other two for sale? Both have been offered for sale previously.

I have almost the exact same same "U.S.iconMarine Corps Score Book", Fourth Edition, although it lacks the "Revised 1929" marking. The name on the cover, in faint pencil, is "H. Rorabaugh", and the rifle Serial Number is "635491". None of the pages are filled out, except he started marking on a 600 yd. page with the Serial Number (listed) and marked the sight setting as "600". Otherwise, no marks in the whole book! Anybody got an '03 - or a 1917 - with this serial? CC

Ah Ha! Found his notes on a "MEMORANDA" page (page 140)

    Elev. at (600) 575 1/2 R
    " at (500) 500 1/2 R
    " at (300) 300 1 R
    " at (200) blank - nothing further.

    (Copied exactly)

The "R" (Right) Notations would seem to indicate an M1903 - since the M1917 could not adjust for windage. CC

So this book was used with a Low serial number rifle well into 1929? Wasn't it soon after the whole exploding receiver thing hit the fan?

Mines a 779XXX and I have no problems shooting it with M2 ball level pressures
