Atlas clone

Just fitted this to my APRS .308 will hopefully get a chance to use it this w/end as I have always wanted an Atlas but could not afford the $420.oo/AU they are asking for the real one.
I have looked at these a fair bit they do have a couple of things that are a bit fiddly but all in all I think this will work out.
Some detractors are saying it will only last a couple of shots well if it does I have only done $57.00/Au with free postage from China it should go a bit further than that.
About all I can really whinge about is the legs clicking into the open positions it is not a positive one have to wiggle it a bit to lock them no biggie.
The leg extensions are very smooth with little or no play from what I have seen on the Atlas they have a pretty good wobble factor.
Also the pivot cant base will come loose if you try to pivot it with it done up tight but I have yet to shoot it so cannot comment on that aspect yet.

I also have 2 clones. One actually looks like it was made for Atlas with the proper casting marks, the other doesn't have those marks.

Time will tell if they are any good but for what I paid it was worth the gamble. The cost of the "legit" one is outrageous.

Well I had a crack at it today at 800M and decided with the legs forward like they are it was like trying to shoot in the Hawkins position way too low so I put the legs vertical and went from there as expected the pivot worked loose but it is no real big issue I just shot to a group to check repeatability and it went well having a reasonable group.
My loads are getting up a bit 42gns AR 2206H with 168gn Hornady A max will be going off a bench next week end at 1000yds that is when I reckon having the feet forward will work keeping it low some have suggested I will get bounce with them forward so we will see, after that I intend on doing some 100 - 200 yd work and report back as I know this rifle is good for .3 moa from a Farley rest at 100yds,.
So at this stage I am quietly confident this bi-pod will go the distance, this one also has Atlas on it.

Yep 5 minutes from my front door can be used Sat/Sun or by appointment on a Wednesday the Army owns the range so it has to be correctly flagged and boundary gates padlocked & flagged when used takes about 45 minutes to do the boundary run as the range sits in 1100 hectares of CALM land, if we ever screw up then the army can kick us out.
They tolerate our buildings as the grunts get the boonies whilst the officers have the club rooms/showers/toilets with its nice wood fire for winter.
100yds ~ 1000yds bench rest or 300M-900M Full bore or F class
