Mate, I once spent 6 hours waiting with 200 other blokes sitting in what looked like a large sheep shearing shed on a hot summer day waiting for the army to pull its finger out and shift us to where we were going.
Gee, I thought I was the only one who remembered that. But a ride in either a C-130 or C-124 would lull me off to sleep immediately. Heavenly, even if you butt fell asleep across that stupid bar.

I could never get rest in transit...some guys would immediately go lay across the kit bags on the ramp. I'd just be uncomfortable...for hours.
