    1903 sporter

Have one on it's way so I hope it's going to be shootable? SA serial # 832,3XX range so near as I can figure it is safe to use regular loads in? Double heat treated /1918 ? It has a sporter stock ,timney trigger and an older style Redfield peep receiver mounted. Not restore-able to original but I hope serviceable as a shooter /backup rifle.

That one should be good. From what we can see here anyway...the number is high enough.

    Also wondering..........

If the rear receiver bridge has been thinned as it is only .080" thick? The Redfield peep hovers over it just wonder if there's enough meat to hold a scope base?
