Removing rear sight ladder on a No 1 Mk V

The screws will not turn, it looks like pins are driven down thru the ears and in the screws.

Any one ever removed the sight ladder? The original rear sight was filed down to make a v notch and the ears were ground off.

Replacer the slider on to the original ladder, but it is very loose it and will not hold position.

The sight I bought was very tight slide to latter fit.

They are not screws, the small pins are what holds the 'screws' in place, drive them out & the sight will be free to remove.
