    Bracket in scope can loose

    The mounting bracket in my original scope tin has come loose(!). How were they fixed to the tin originally, and what do you learned folks suggest be done to repair ir?

    I've one that was re soldered..... but depends on the type of mount in the tin, is it just one of them or the whole mount assembley, a good and easy repair would be rivet (not pop rivets) see link below regarding a can I brought back to life, had to include the whole thread as I can't get the pics form photo bucket...... the individual mount and spigot were plug welded to the plate then this was riveted to the tin.
