Question Creating a Swedish Mauser "Scout Rifle" (No sporterising)

I find myself in need of a scoped centrefire rifle and lack the budget to buy a new gun, but the thought occurs there's an opportunity to turn an M38 Swedishicon Mauser into a scout rifle, combining the practicality of the cartridge with the history and reliability of the design - and a telescopic sight for a slightly extended range.

It's critical the scope be a "no gunsmithing, drilling or tapping" mount so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or ideas on either an appropriate mount or an affordable but practical scope to go with it?

As far as a scope mount goes brass stacker makes one. I have no idea how good they are, but I heard they're decent. No drilling or tapping and you can still use iron sights.

I had a look on their website but it seems their scope mounts are only for G/K98s and M48 rifles, not the Swedishicon Mausers. It's a shame because it's pretty much exactly what I'm after.

Dutchman (http://dutchman.rebooty.com/) used to make one, but I read on some online forum that the BadAce mount (https://www.badacetactical.com/colle...unt-model-1938) is according to him very similar. I'm considering one myself for my M/96.
