    Nambu Ammunition Value

    I have a couple of boxes of Japaneseicon Nambu ammunition that I will be looking to sell. Can anyone give me a fair value on what I have? Pictures are attached. Also have an unfired Nambu that I will be posting photos of. It too will be for sale. Box dates to November 1944. There is still quite a bit of the ammo around but not near what there used to be. Last I knew it was a $1 per round with the box adding to the total value and this was awhile ago. All depends on condition too so a pristine box is worth more. So I maybe way off but I would hazard a guess of $20 to $30 a box depending on condition.

    Welcome to the forum Kaiser;
    Bruce gives a fair price, the boxes are in fair condition so to a collector of this type of munitions it would be up to what they were willing to pay the old supply & demand thing what you have to do is put a bit of a higher price and be prepared to haggle but have a base line that you set not to go below if you put say $50 on the better cond packet & $40 on the 2nd one you have some wiggle room & so does the buyer.

    It is collectible ammo but it may get interest from a shooter who wants the brass for their pistol I am unsure whether Nambu ammo was boxer or berdan with mecuric primers.........!

    Berdan primed and corrosive. So if someone shoots it then clean the pistol accordingly. New 8mm Nambu ammo is available now. FMJ and boxer primed for reloading and non corrosive.
