yes sir mr. jim it is a fn 49 bayo on the k98.

i only had this bayo id'ed a week or so ago. it does fit perfect on my k98s and the reason i put it on them when i shoot the 98ks are the cool look of double edges it has!

on this shoot off i was using surplus 8mm turk and surplus .303. both ammo i have had stored for 20 years at the least. all in ammo cans and pretty much climate controlled.

not one miss fire with the 8mm, had 6 misfires with the .303, i cycled the 6 again and only 1 went off. and i would say i fired about 50 rds of 8mm and 100 rds of .303....my shoulder couldnt handle the recoil of the 8mm, .303 was tame.

not that i would use the surplus ammo if my life depended on it, just to say

    thank you sir
