Very, very nice indeed, No wonder Santa's Reindeer move so fast with old hooky prodding their arses!

I keep meaning to photograph my equally nice Naval marked 1910 dated Sanderson hooky.

I wonder how these survived with their Hooked quillions intact?

I always asumed the Naval examples just survived as ships equipment in the Armoury along with their Rifles.

Perhaps the admiralty weren't as rigid following WD orders.

If that's the case, are Naval examples the most commonly encountered?

Apparently most you see are marked to guards units, and we know they aren't like anyone else. They'd hide their stuff...

The Sanderson is NZicon issue, might even be NZ Mounted Rifles issue, i now have 4 of these 1910 dated HQ bayonets, 3 have correct '10 dated scabbards, the 4th with a later scabbard & the hook removed, these 1907s do not carry a N^Z stamp, only a Inventoy/Rack number on the crossguard, this seems to fit with the early NZ MkIII rifles numbers as stamped on the butt socket, the same system seems to norm with examples of NZ Mk1 SMLEs & P1903s.
