I see they all have BFAs on their rifles.

Top picture I've seen before but don't remember what it is about.

Second picture taken in the late 50s to the mid 60s by their uniforms. Are they Ranger students?

BFAs installed, seldom seen pic...yes, they look to be Ranger candidates.

Could just be a training ex without ammo. After all the photog is downrange...I suspect no live ex...BAR on the far side...
