1917 Rear Sight Question

The sight below is marked "W" on the slide. It's very faint. On the ladder it's marked "RT". I'm familiar with "R" for Remington, but I've not seen RT. Can someone shed some light on it? Thank you.

I have not see that, none of the ones I have seen do.

You might check it to see if an Eagle stamp and a number with it. None of mine have that either but?

My guess is it was an arsenal replacement. My P14 and my M1917 both have the receiver's serial number there. - Bill
