    N°4MK1 data/serial?

    ROF
    A
    T27204
    Cordialmente ringrazio.

For those that haven't discovered google translate, here's his question...

    N ° 4MK1 data / serial?
I hope I have not made a mistake where to post ...
I am in possession of a N ° 4MK1 Fazakerley with these marks on the left side sleeve:
    ROF
    TO
    T27204
the year of production is missing.
Is it possible to go back to the date via the serial number?
Is it normal that the year is not present?
It does not have FTR punches, all the serials correspond.
I would be really grateful to those who will work to give me an answer.
    Sincerely thank you.
    Regards, Jim

I think I can make out a badly stamped '42' on the butt socket, too. IIRC Faz early war production had the manufacturer details & date crudely hand stamped onto the butt socket as has the OP's rifle. Sometime mid-war they changed to neatly, but very shallowly engraving the details on the receiver side wall flat below the folded rear sight. I've certainly seen 1943 dated rifles with this latter style of marking.
