CMP South store shopping

Thinking about a trip down to the CMP south store in Anniston. Does anyone have ideas on the best day to go? Does anyone have ideas where to stay overnight?

Oxford and Anniston are smallish towns, regular hotels and eateries. If you're going to go, make it long enough to spend some time at the CMP hi-power range. It's state of the art.
Make sure you're ready to buy at the store. That will speed up your time there. Birmingham is just 30 minutes to the west.

How much does a CMP drill rifle run? Wouldn’t mind having one of those out for display while the other guns are locked up.
