    Here we see some of the trophies we lust after today. A friend of mine was 16 at war's end and resident Germanicon. He said the guns were demanded and brought to the town center where a US officer waited, the owner smashed the butt across the curb stones until the firearm was destroyed and then threw it into the growing pile aside...

    Wonder if the sword is Naval or Wehrmacht as I cannot remember seeing many pics of the army officers wearing theirs.
