Issue varied but a variety were available and hence acceptable. By that late in the war the 1905 was least likely, the 1942/43 1905, the M1and the M1905E1. Any of these were possible but the 16" 1905 was losing favor and many were modified to 10" blade.
Agreed, likely not the 16" bayonet...by the late war. As for whether or not it was a 1905E1 or an M1blade would depend on what came out of the QM pile next.

It's the same bayonets as the 1903 and M1Rifle. Trick if you're looking for one, is finding a real one. There are repro's out there.
Most '03A3's were issued to troopies guarding things, Stateside and got the 16" bayonet. There were some troopies in the Pacific who were issued the 16" for their M1's too. There's a picture some place on-line showing that. It was found that they couldn't compete with the Arisaka's 15.75" blade with a 10" blade.
Spelling and Grammar count!
Bayonets used with the 03A3.
Bayonets are not bent just the camera angle.

Let me offer this site for all US bayo's. Gary has passed, but was the authority on U.S bayonets .A true historian and good guy that would answer questions on forums.
His website lives on, but who Knows for how long. Bayonet Points
His book, published a couple of years ago, is a good place to start.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
