The new Aden round (Red/Yellow one) turned up pretty happy with it it differs from the other I purchased last year mainly in the shape of the projectile.
The Black one the fuse cannot be removed and judging from its weight is a solid prac round so is definitely the incorrect colour unless they were painted black and not the usual blue.
The projectiles are fairly different as well the over all shape of them I can find no markings on the new one and the fuse section is a solid piece which I ask did it push onto a system inside the projectile to set off a charge see internal picture.
Markings that need identification;
Old one (Black Projie)
Upper rim - 030 CY 76 AP 1 Z
In Rim Rebate - J 30MM RG
New one (Red/Yellow)
Upper Rim- 00 GD 002
Rim Rebate- J 30MM RG 00
I gather the RG may stand for Radway Green is that correct!
76 & 002 DOM?
AP = Armour Piercing?
CY = ?
GD = ?
J = ?
As always I appreciate information supplied by forumer's. TIA (MkVII 303 round for scale.)Information
