See any Mil Surps in That Pile of 553 ??

This isn't me heading to the range.....

And none of these are mine,
But do any see Mil Surps any where ?

From a news story I ran across, guns seized from a Felon. With those Tough restrictions I'll let you guess what state, before you open the link.
Think they'll offer up a To Public Sales Offer??
Wonder if any are left overs from Eric Holders antics ?

A little hard to make out, but I can see two Mosin-Nagants , a 1903 Springfield, a SMLE and two M1icon Garand.

Hopefully the authorities will be wise in this instance and open up the collection to public sale, as scrapping that number of arms would sure be a shame.

If they say find a weapon that you may have had stolen do you get it back or is it considered evidence and locked away or destroyed!

I had one or two Nagants stolen by the neighbor kid a number of years ago.
ATF called the selling dealer and advised him they had the rifle (1)
I never recovered it because there were around thirteen guns in my garage and I had no idea
which two they got. As a result there were no serials on the police report.

Lesson learned record your serial numbers somewhere.
I still don't have them all recorded.

I saw this but did not post for fear of going on a prohibited rant.
I see quite a few milsurps and am sickened because it being in the PROC I believe in all likelihood they will be destroyed.

If I were told I could have three out of the gunpile, I'd spend a week trying to figure out which ones...
    Regards, Jim

This is the second story out of Cali lately about massive firearms seizures. If I recall correctly the last one involved the natural death of a gun collector.
The state swooped in using the "exigent circumstance" & "public safety" rational to seize the weapons and while they had them check each serial number to ensure they were not stolen. I suppose is you have too many some must be stolen? Like the first photo here they were handled in quite a caviler manner stacked like firewood. Just seems wrong. Like towing a Ferrari Enzo with a chain behind a puck up truck.
