    The 2 lumps possible enemy out of their trench @2 fingers left(If you were in the closest foxhole) of the tree line up on the ridge line if so then that would be a barrel stretching shot..........

    I'm thinking the two in the foreground are on the right flank of an extended company line of defence. There appears to be a row of fighting positions stretching off to the left, and those figures are probably part of it. What is really interesting is the guy out by something square and bulky in the middle of the paddock visible between the right hand soldiers head the ben of the overhanging tree branch.

    I don't think WWII air drop bundles were anywhere near that big. It looks to be the size of a jeep (I don't think it is one) stuck up to it's axles in the snow. He'd have a bugger of a time dragging something that size across that snow covered paddock by himself.
