    EX 1939 PEM sniper .

It is a refurbished 1939 Mosin Nagant EX-PEM side mount sniper in fairly nice condition, all matching. $600. It has the correct plugged hole spacing and the CN stamps on the knox form to indicate it was going to be a sniper at one time. Bore is shiny, crown is good with great rifling. I found the PEM scope a few months ago.
Deciding whether to proceed with a sniper clone. Thought i would post a few pics.

Looking for an original PEM scope side mount.

very nice.. It more than likely was a sniper at one time and rearsenal built back into infantry rifle form with straight bolt and plugged base mount holes. It is very difficult to find the original mounting system in the wild anymore. Lots of ground dug stuff but they look rough. Keep eyes open on ebay and gun forums as they come up occasionally. Its even more difficult to get a base and side mount that match each other and then to fit the rifle. Lots of people are doing the same thing you are doing, re snipering ex-snipers and when nothing is available there are reproduction mounts out there that do well. If looking for original, don't blink, when for sale they go quick. There are fakes on the market as well (repros being passed off as real). Not bad if you know what you are buying. Terrible if you are expecting real and you find out its no bueno.
