1903 Springfeile Mark 1

I pick up this 1903 Springfield Mark 1 at a gun show in Oregon a few weeks ago. It seems to be correct as far as I can see. I wanted to get a Mark 1 before the price go's out of reach. I also have a nice Remington O3A3. I accidentally posted this in the wrong category so here it is in the 1903 category.

I may be wrong but that looks like a Remington 1903 hand guard. Mark 1 stocks are very difficult to find even with rebuild stamps

Remington 1903 handguards have a 'high bump' look to them. The is evidence Remington made 'regular' handguards, possibly after the end of M1903 production. As stated in Brophy, 50% of rifles returned for repair needed new handguards. Does the Mk1 have the special sear as well?

My first photo shows a Springfield WW1 period hanguard which also has the fixture slot inside (most of them had this slot, never on a Remington handguard)
