LEST WE FORGET....................just been to a service at USAF Glatton near Peterborough very busy B17 base in WW2. 60 people in attendance and lots of USAF pilots from Mildenhall and Lakenheath.

As an aside, I saw a Haynes manual for Retired People the other day....true, it made me laugh

My Old Man flew out of Glatton. 457th BG, radio operator/waist gunner.

The runway is still used today as a flying school, landing lights and all.

Not much bigger than the 724 page owner's manual for my '18 Dodge RAM. Of course, half those pages are safety warnings!
