    Winchester Winder .22

I have just aquired a Winchester Winder .22, SN 129785. Anyone have an idea when it was made? The stocks and sight have what appears to be initials JB, who might that be? Can someone tell me how to disassemble the rifle for cleaning? The rear sight windage adjustment screw moves freely, is there some way to hold it in position? Thanks, Frank

    Winchester Winder

Most of the Winchester Winder rifles were chambered for 22 short so if you rechamber to the long rifle cartridge the barrel twist will not be accurate. Also look for any US military markings as they were used for training during WW1. They can also be found with Kragicon rear sights too.
