    Arrow Afgan Sniper

While talking with my partner in crime last night he told me on of your Canadianicon Solders made a confirmed kill in Afghanistan that was in excess of 2,000 meters! Could anybody out there share any details of this event? -SDH

The sniper was from PPCLI and involved a .50 cal. Don't remember all the details, but he's the world record holder - defeated a Vietnam era American as I recall.

Sounds like he beat Carlos Hatcocks record, I don't recall what it was, its been years since I read the book, but, that is a feat that I just can't comprehend. I've shot 600 yards and struggled. That distance is incredible.-SDH

From what I recall of reading about it a few years ago, this was the rifle mentioned in the Edmonton newspapers.

I stand corrected, 2,430 "METERS" that is totally incredible! I've always had the highest regard for the Canadianicon solders, they never back up and have always been there when cause was right, Very best regards-SDH
