The carrying handle for the Model 1918A2 became issue towards the end of WW2. Very difficult to find a WW2 photo of the BAR
with a carrying handle. By the Korean War, you find more photos showing the carrying handle. The open prong flash hider came
into service as the BAR was being replaced, but photos of the ARVN troops in Viet Nam, show the M1918A2 with the open prong
hider.
Still can't see this one...
