    Goo

the dimension between the two grooves on the receiver is 1.035 inches + 0.010. I would check there first.

Goo get a nylon bar or a piece of wood. Spread the receiver's legs just be careful not to mar the metal. The bullet guide will slip in the slot much easier. I have had this problem with the late 5 mil receivers from Springfield.
