Type 1 TH Pin

Guys, (and hopefully some gals), I have a WIN 107230 that has a Type 1 TH pin with the spring removed. Would I have any problem replacing the pin with a correct pin with the spring? Are the Trigger Housings milled specifically to accept the pin? Thanks in advance.

Winchester only used they type 1 pin to about the 30,000 range of serial numbers. Then switched over to the type 2 as the spring was not needed to keep the pin in place.
