    USMC rebuild

Thought I would post some photos of my USMC rebuild that I bought a very long time ago.
As a matter of fact nobody really knew about USMC rebuilds back then. Sometime in the late 1990's I sent some 1903 serial numbers to the late Frank Mallory of Springfield Research. He replied that my SA s/n 1031506 was among known USMC serial numbers and could be a marine rifle. Later John Beardicon confirmed that this was a USMC rebuild.

The barrel is a Sedgley 9-41 and the stock is without a cartouche and the receiver color is original to USMC rebuilds. The bore is like newAttachment 110428Attachment 110429Attachment 110430Attachment 110431Attachment 110432Attachment 110433Attachment 110434

Complete with pipe-wrench marks, couldn't believe when I first found out those were the way they should be.
    Regards, Jim

That is vary cool RCS, stippled buttplate as well ... I've seen 1093's with the pipe wrench marks.
