At long last, the Summer Journal is going to print. It is very delayed because of unhappy circumstances: our long-time publisher Jim Spawn wanted to retire and sold his business to our printer Garrett Shropshire. As part of the deal, Jim was to stay on for the first year to help Garrett perfect the magazine layout process. Unfortunately, the brain tumor that afflicted Jim five years ago has returned and he is quite ill, was unable to help Garrett learn the drill. The editors have been working with him and getting it done, he's a fast learner, but it has taken longer than usual. We'll get this ironed out and be back on track before too long. Meanwhile, we wish Jim Spawn and his family the very best in this extremely difficult time.Information
