    Help identifying this mauser

Just picked up a Mauser at a gun show today. Serial numbers on the stock, trigger plate, bolt and barrel all match. There are no markings on the receiver at all. Only markings when I remove the handguard and there is an R on the top of the barrel. The serial number is S1207 but I cannot find any markings on the chamber identifying the caliber. On the stock near the butt plate is stamped 126 with a circle above it , possibly a bomb with a marking on the inside. I have photos I can email to anyone that can help.
