And MORE captured German stuff MG's

Captured Germanicon Mauser Rifles and MG's Tunisia 1943. just amazes me to see these long piles of weapons.

MP38/40's in the pile in the foreground.
Just the thing for putting round holes in square heads.

Lots and lots for sure, a bit of everything there...looks like much has been rendered to bit and pieces. Wonder if that was deliberate or just a byproduct of trying to clear a strange weapon from action? Got to admit that if I was doing the same thing at present, I wouldn't care about future collector feelings at all. Keeping them from being serviceable if they returned to enemy hands would be paramount to me.

    Lots of odd stuff there...
    Regards, Jim

    Well spotted....!

Going to be a 1942 made gun then, and given the shirtless GI in the photo, maybe taken in Tunisia/North Africa in '43...?
