    No42 scope

Ebay item 303780474794, seems a tad high for a No42 scope or am I missing something ?

Thats the second one I've seen go for silly money.

Its because he puts them in a mount on an Enfield and people seem to get fizzy in the pants over them.

The scope doesn't even fit in the rings as the diameter of the tube is larger. I hope he didn't crank the screws down too tight or the tube will be crimped.

I paid £70 posted for my 1943 No.42 R.E.L Canadianicon scope off eBay.

Re-enactors probably, or those who intend to fleece the same.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
