    Talking LRB Receiver hang time?

Cancelled my CMPicon Winnie order in Jan. and ordered a LRB M-14SA receiver to use a parts kit I put together years ago instead. LRB advised me it might be around August before delivery. Any insight on this estimate? Recent experiences or delivery times? Hate to pester them, might be one of Orest's cousins and send me to the end of the line! TIA

far as I know all sorts of companies making m1a and ar15 type componts have huge backlogs now. So dont take it as a disgruntled fam of orest, as its prob the truth.

Good decision to cancel the Winchester and go for the LRB receiver. Five months is not unusual for delivery. I have waited longer on two different occasions to get receivers. Your in good hands, so sit back and get all your parts together for the day it comes.

Patience is not a major problem. Been sitting on this kit (TRW w/ SAK bbl.) for so long I've probably got less than $500 into it! Should have moved sooner! Would like to see it arrive before Pres. Hussein screws up my plans. TX Gentlemen!

Not recent experience but relevant. I ordered an M14icon SA receiver from LRB in Jan of 06 and I got it in Nov of 06. Those times were never estimated by LRB. That's just the way it shook out. I did not start sending emails to check until after 4 months.

I was a bit bent that bare receiver orders, that were not being assembled by them, get low ( read; last) priority.

It did allow me extra time to horse-trade for better and more NOS parts which was blessing. I think If I was going to do another M14 I would get it all done by them ( If I did not have a builder I was married to)

If you are not going for a double lugged match rifle you may consider them for the build. Just tell Lou you have the parts and when the receiver is ready and they may be able to shorten your wait because they are getting the assembly work.
