    Canadian? British style commando knife???

A friend at work brought me a knife he garbage picked along with some fishing equipment. It looks the same as a british commando knife. On one side of the guard it is marked Sheffield Englandicon, the other side has 1983 and what looks like a broad arrow stamp.Has the scabbard and is pretty nice except for the handle is a little loose. Any ideas? Does this have any value? He asked me to sell it as the economy is hurting him like the rest of us.

Here in Ontario the market for real F.S. knives from any year is hot. From your description I think it would sell for $80 - $100 or more. The ww2 3rd patterns in same condition with scabbard go for $200 + up.
