Value Needed: Nazi SS Cap Badge

A buddy inherited his grand dad's wartime odds and ends. Most of it is commonwealth so I'm ok as to value, but amongst the items is a Nazi SS cap badge, the skull and crossbones. Given the source, there's no doubt that this is the real deal, not one of the eastern European fakes. I've done some research, but the prices have me shaking my head. Any ideas?

The Germanicon armour collar badge was similar to the SS cap badge. Please check to that it is indeed SS and not armour.

Though Nazi stuff is kind of outside my wheelhouse, I'd bet a months pension that this is SS.

I'd love a month's pension but I'm too far away. Comparing internet pictures that is a Germanicon WWII panzer collar badge - the ridge on the skull and the triple bones on each side. The SS cap badge is much simpler, two bones each side and no ridge on the skull.

    Nice to have and display.
