Top picture is very interesting. Year?? At first I thought it was a picture of paratroopers but the parachutes are air crew with the ripcords on the left front. The parachutes also have canopy release assemblies (Capewells) which were first used in the late 50s. The aircraft is a C123 Provider (originally designed as an assault glider) used by the Airforce and Reserve from the 1950s to the 1980s.The vehicle appears to be a jeep but hard to tell. Maybe an M38A1 with side mount spare.

I was wondering about the plane. I've traceled in the C-124 and the C-130 courtesy of MAC, but never the Provider.

Great info you provide Bear...lots there I wouldn't have even guessed and I grew up in the system.
