    Weird handguard

What is this Kragicon handguard? Looks like the front is cut for the 1901 sight's lever, the back for the 1898 or 1902, but the slot length and width appear to be for the 1892 or 1896 sight. It is not a 1901, it is a 1902 handguard that someone has remodeled.

I think you're right, the clips are not right, and the cut for the receiver ring is absent. Guess he needed a little more thumb purchase to catch the 1892/1896 ladder, and that he didn't like having the numbers on the side covered up any. Good eye! Looks like an oldie repro though.

Are you sure it's not for a Norweigian or Dane Kragicon?

    Not a Krag!

It's not a Kragicon handguard at all, been digging around, appears to be for a Winchester 1895 musket.

I bought it, it appears to be for the Russianicon Model of the 1895 Military Musket and will be sold for 2 to 4 times what I paid for it.
