good evening, I use Google translate since I am not an expert of the "English" language but it remains a pleasure to discuss my passion for US weapons and more particularly the springfield 1903 A3 and A4. I show you a picture of my rifles, all with shooting permits in my country. Besides, I find it unfortunate that the elements are no longer exported from the United Statesto France. You have left a long history in our country.
I have in my possession an A4 dated 03 - 43 (first built) found 30 years ago under the roof of a house in the Vosges (at the gates of Germany). He had the stock broken. The scope is a commercial Weaver 330C. The original base is not marked Redfield. I handed in a Scant stock marked OG framed, the only one available at the time. The bolt closes on the NO GO gauge and it seems that the bolt of the A4 is shorter by 1 millimeter than that of my A3 Remington. The gauges are OK with the bolt A3. So I'm looking for an original A4 bolt but not easy. Not very expensive in France but I must to wait until the end of life of an A4
The USM1 comes from South/West France dropping...
