    Inaccurate GB listing

I ran across this listing for an "ultra Rare Long Branch" Lee Enfield #4(T) on GB.

ULTRA RARE Long Branch No.4 MKI T WW2 Sniper Rifle .303 British! Canadian! - Bolt Action Rifles at GunBroker.com : 911312511

Problem is this is a BSA Shirley M47C, with sanded stock, badly refinished metal and a mismatched scope, maybe not even an original scope. So not what it is listed as at all.

    Cheers

    BA

I like the bit about it being "Britishicon! Canadian!". What was that supposed to mean, a bit like "Frenchicon-Canadian", only different or Canadaicon having once been part of the British Empire? Nope, apparently it's chambered in .303 British.

This is the same guy that was the recent subject on this site under Commercial auction and sales “gossip”, “2021 RARE BSA Shirley No.4 MKI T WW2 Sniper Rifle .303 Museum Quality! - Bolt Action Rifles at GunBroker.com : 911312511”, it appears to be the same rifle as well. If you go to the original link in the first thread, you are taken to this new, improved and now Canadianicon listing. It looks like another “improvement” in the listing is you can’t see as clearly that someone went to town with a stamping kit on this thing because the pictures are taken from farther away this time.

I can see why the abbreviation of this persons company name is “FU”.

The listing number for both auctions is the same on both threads, FYI.
