I learned how to uncock my 1911 one handed by watching McQueen in his last movie The Hunter. Had never seen it done before, though it was the coolest thing and still do it to this day.
He did his own stunts in The Great Escape, including the motorcycle jump over the fence.
Real men measure once and cut.
One of my all time preferred actors!
