No4 Forend Identification

I recently picked up this No4 Mk1 forend. The only stamp I can find on it is a square with a "P" in the barrel channel.

Can anyone identify the manufacturer? When I first picked it up, I thought repro but I am not sure. It was advertised as "nos".

It has an interesting tiger stripe pattern and one of my receivers fit in nicely and will only need a bit of trimming for final fit.

That looks like the P in the POF (Pakistan Ordnance Factory) Although it is generally a P in a circle rather than a P in a square.

BSA supplied their No4 manufacturing equipment to PoF in 1955 with agreement of the UK Government who had required BSA to maintain the equipment for 10 years after they produced their last No4 Mk1 Rifle.

Maybe a starting point for further investigation ?

I checked the usual references and I did find the circle with a “P” for POF.
I think it is unusual because the wood and the end cap are not stamped except for what I showed in the pictures. It does have the late style end cap installed (no markings either). Still thinking it might be a repro.
